Catch of the Day – Squidward 3
Pantaenius UK, alongside Ocean Safety, are delighted to announce a dynamic new partnership, further strengthening our growing presence within the recreational boat angling sector. Social Media sensations the McKell family, also known as Squidward 3, form a husband, wife and son team who are simply hooked on fishing! In conjunction with both organisations, Squidward 3 are creating a social media sea angling and motor boating series, delivering useful tips whilst also highlighting the importance of matters such as safety and insurance during active pursuits at sea.
Well known for documenting their angling prowess with exciting catches, family boat trips and adventurous exploits on camera, Squidward 3 aka Darren, Caz and Luke, have grown in popularity across the fishing landscape. Their resounding Instagram success in 2022 has heralded a rise to stardom in the echelons of angling, resulting in their son Luke being nominated as an ambassador for premium tackle brand Cox & Rawle and the whole family being supported by specialist fishing electronics supplier Lowrance. Now partnering with the premium maritime brands of Pantaenius UK and Ocean Safety, they have together established and developed a unique and inspiring social media initiative. Much anticipated and exclusive footage will cover important scenarios such as responsible boating habits, maritime training plus insurance requirements. In addition, there will be numerous helpful tips from Squidward 3 to improve and enhance angling skills.
Further reinforcing our commitment to the angling sector, where we already offer tailored insurance solutions for recreational fishing boat owners, Pantaenius UK have undertaken a second year of support for the Sea Angling Classic. At the 2022 event we showcased our established relationship with passionate sea angler Will Parkinson. He headed up the first-prize winning Suzuki Smartfish fishing team, with Squidward 3 also participating in the recreational boat category. Caz was triumphant, winning the top lady angler award, and the family took a very commendable 16th place in a competitive field.
