At Pantaenius we are proud of our reputation in the handling and settlement of claims, with quick and efficient claims handling being our highest priority. We hope you never have to speak to the Claims Team but, for those unfortunate to have to claim, they are here to help if you do!
SIMON FIRTH – CLAIMS MANAGER

After a long military career, Simon joined Pantaenius in 2010, initially to launch a new online product. Simon is now the Claims Manager, having spent 6 years as a Claims Handler. He and his team have helped many customers who were unfortunate enough to have a claim, get their pride and joy back on the water as quickly as possible. Simon can often been seen in and around the marinas of the South West and quite often in more far flung locations on holiday. Simon began racing catamarans as a child and when his father built a Sabre 27, he continued cruising the family yacht on the East Coast and The Netherlands. Away from the office, Simon is keen on outdoor activities, live music, supporting his son’s hockey career and working on the restoration/conversion of a classic motorcycle, which he hopes to ride next year!
MICHAEL BROWN
I joined the Pantaenius UK team in 2024 as a Claims Handler, bringing with me extensive experience in the financial services sector. Over the years, I've honed my problem-solving skills and developed a strong focus on customer service and attention to detail, all of which help me ensure our clients receive the highest standard of care and support during the claims process. I hold several financial services qualifications, and I recently completed a degree in Business Management from the Open University. This has given me a deeper understanding of business operations, strategic management, and organisational behaviour, which I’m excited to apply in my role. Outside of work, I’m a big sports enthusiast—I love playing pool and am a devoted supporter of Plymouth Argyle. I look forward to contributing my skills and passion to the Pantaenius team and providing exceptional service to our clients.
COLIN WAY
I joined Pantaenius in 2023 after spending 30 years in Banking and Financial Services, where I developed extensive customer service skills. As a member of the claims team, I’m dedicated to supporting our customers when they need it most. Outside of work, I’m an experienced sailor and a senior dinghy instructor. I also enjoy spending time with my family, watching football, playing golf, and socialising with friends.
ANTONY CHAPMAN - CLAIMS HANDLER

Antony joined Pantaenius’ claims team at the beginning of 2018 following a 30 year career as a police officer. His skills are used to good effect when handling claims, which he approaches with fairness and compassion. Antony has had motor cruisers in the family for many years and has a RYA Sailing Yacht Competent Crew qualification. In his own time, Antony officiates as a Master of Ceremonies and enjoys rugby, motorcycling and keeping fit.
